Honor’s X7e range just gained a beefier sibling, and the Honor X7e Plus 5G leans hard into two things budget buyers actually care about: battery life and durability. It’s already gone on sale, arriving first in Qatar and Oman and available through Honor’s official online store and authorized retailers in the UAE.
The headline number is the battery. Honor fitted an 8,100mAh cell — a full 600mAh more than the standard X7e that launched in May — and paired it with 45W wired charging. That’s a genuinely large pack for this price bracket, and while 45W won’t set any speed records, it should keep top-up times reasonable given the capacity on offer.
Just as noteworthy is the toughness. The X7e Plus carries IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings, the last of which covers high-temperature, high-pressure jet cleaning — the kind of protection you’d normally expect on industrial hardware rather than an affordable handset. Honor also claims 2.5m drop resistance, so the phone is built to survive both the kitchen sink and the pavement.
The display is the compromise you’d expect at this level. It’s a generous 6.87-inch TFT LCD, but the resolution stays at HD+ (1592 x 720 pixels). The saving grace is a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,020 nits peak brightness, which means scrolling stays smooth and the screen remains legible outdoors, even if the pixel density isn’t going to wow anyone.
Under the hood sits Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset, backed by up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It’s an entry-level platform, but a modern one, and it should handle everyday duties without complaint.
The camera setup keeps things simple:

Software is bang up to date, with MagicOS 10.0 based on Android 16 running the show. Physically the phone measures 168.3 x 78.54 x 8.3mm and tips the scales at 216.5 grams — not featherweight, but that’s the price you pay for an 8,100mAh battery and ruggedized construction.
Pricing lands in familiar budget territory. The 6GB+128GB version costs US$275, while the 8GB+256GB model comes in at US$300. Worldwide availability is expected at around €250.
It’s a straightforward proposition: a big screen, a big battery and a chassis that takes abuse, all for the kind of money that usually buys far more fragile hardware. If you value endurance and resilience over a sharp panel, the X7e Plus makes a compelling case.
