vivo has slipped a new budget phone onto its Bangladesh website without any launch event, and it carries a name that may cause some confusion: vivo Y32. A Y32 already existed back in 2021, but the October 2026 model shares nothing with it except the badge. What matters here is the headline number: an 8000 mAh battery packed into a phone that is still just 8.69 mm thick in its Twilight Red version.
Battery first, everything else second
vivo calls the cell a BlueVolt battery and pairs it with 44W FlashCharge wired charging. A charger and USB cable are listed in the box, along with a phone case and a factory-applied screen protector, which is not something every brand still bothers with in this class. The trade-off for all that capacity is weight: 229g for Twilight Red and 230g for Sunset Orange, whose body is slightly thicker at 8.79 mm.
Big LCD, modest resolution
The front is dominated by a 6.87-inch LCD with 1592 × 720 resolution, which works out to 255 PPI. It refreshes at up to 120 Hz, covers 83% of the NTSC gamut and reaches 1300 nits in high brightness mode. It also carries TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification. Sharpness lovers will want to look elsewhere, but for video and scrolling on a battery-first phone this is a sensible compromise.
Unisoc inside
Power comes from the Unisoc T7300, a 6 nm octa-core chip with two cores at 2.2 GHz and six at 2.0 GHz. It is offered with 4 GB or 6 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage, expandable via microSD card up to 2 TB. Software is OriginOS 6 on top of Android 16. The network section of the spec sheet lists GSM, WCDMA and LTE bands.
Tougher than it looks
Perhaps the most surprising line on the spec sheet is the protection: the Y32 carries both IP68 and IP69 ratings, plus SGS 5-Star drop resistance certification, according to vivo. The camera app even includes an Underwater Photography mode.
- Rear cameras: 50 MP wide-angle (f/2.0) and 2 MP bokeh sensor (f/2.4)
- Front camera: 8 MP (f/2.05)
- Side-mounted capacitive fingerprint sensor in the power button
- Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, FM radio, USB Type-C (USB 2.0)
- Dual nano SIM plus microSD slot
- Colors: Twilight Red and Sunset Orange
Pricing and wider availability were not listed on vivo’s Bangladesh page as of October 6, 2026. What is clear is the formula: a large, rugged, long-lasting phone that puts endurance and durability ahead of screen sharpness and raw speed. Whether vivo should have picked a fresh name for it is another question.
