UGREEN, a brand most people know for chargers and NAS boxes, has jumped into the smart home business — and it is doing so without the cloud. On September 3, 2026 the company unveiled HomeAgent, a Matter-compatible platform built around three hubs — the HomeAgent HA100, HomeAgent HA100 Pro and MasterAgent MA100 — that run their AI models entirely on-device.
The pitch is simple: the jobs that Alexa- and Google-style systems ship off to remote servers happen inside a box in your home instead. The hubs interpret voice commands through UGREEN’s own assistant, Uliya, watch security camera feeds, generate descriptions of what happened in front of the lens and can even flag package theft — all processed locally, so the footage and audio never leave the house. Each hub also doubles as a 2-bay SATA NAS, storing files, photos and security video alongside the AI workload.
The three models differ mainly in how much silicon you are paying for:
- HomeAgent HA100 — 16GB of RAM and a rated 26 TOPS of AI performance; US$899 at the Super Early Bird price, US$1,799 MSRP.
- HomeAgent HA100 Pro — 32GB of RAM, extra GPU and NPU muscle, and a 205 TOPS rating; US$2,999 Super Early Bird, US$5,999 MSRP.
- MasterAgent MA100 — NVIDIA Jetson Thor T5000 silicon with 128GB of RAM, a 100Gbps PoE switch and a claimed up to 2,070 FP4 TFLOPS of local compute; US$9,999 Super Early Bird, US$19,999 MSRP.
That top model is, in effect, a small AI data center for your kitchen — and it is priced like one. UGREEN clearly expects the HA100 to do the volume work, with the MA100 there for people who want to run heavyweight models at home on principle.
The hubs anchor a wider ecosystem. UGREEN’s pre-order page lists SynCare security cameras, a Gallery e-paper smart frame and a dedicated smart speaker for the Uliya assistant as optional add-ons, so the platform is meant to grow beyond the central box.
As for getting one: UGREEN opened a deposit window running from September 4 to October 26, 2026, where US$50 or US$200 down locks in the discounted pricing. A Kickstarter campaign follows on October 27, 2026, and shipping is planned for late January 2027. The early-bird deals work out to 50% off MSRP, which softens the sticker shock — a little. Local, private AI is a genuinely appealing idea; UGREEN is betting enough people will pay a premium to keep their smart home conversations at home.
