A flagship TV and a proper sound system usually mean two big bills. A UK deal on the LG G6 cuts that down to one. Smart Home Sounds has the 65-inch wall-mount version of LG’s top Primary RGB Tandem OLED at £2564 with the promo code TRADE250. What Hi-Fi? calls it the lowest price it has seen on the set so far.
There’s a bonus too. Put the LG S70TY Dolby Atmos soundbar and subwoofer in the same basket and it’s free at checkout. What Hi-Fi? gave the S70TY four stars, and it sells for £229 at Amazon, so the freebie is worth real money.
Why the G6 is worth a look
The G6 got five stars from What Hi-Fi?, and the magazine retested it after a major software update. In a side-by-side test with Civil War, burning night-time forest scenes showed extra detail and higher peaks. Skin tones held on to their reds much better, and next to the G6 the G5 made faces look slightly jaundiced. In daylight scenes the reviewers kept coming back to one word: “balanced”. LG has clearly stopped chasing peak brightness at any cost.
Most of that comes from the panel. The G6 is one of the few TVs with a Primary RGB Tandem OLED panel. It uses a ‘four-stack’ structure to push peak and operating brightness higher without giving up colour volume or accuracy. The rest of the hardware:
- Processor: Alpha 11 Gen 3 AI, with Hyper Radiant Colour Technology, for higher peak brightness than the LG G5
- HDR: Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG. HDR10+ is not supported
- Gaming: four HDMI 2.1 inputs, each handling up to 4K/165Hz with VRR, ALLM and Dolby Vision Gaming HDR
- Smart platform: webOS 26 with Now, Apple TV, Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video and more
LG’s US spec sheet for the same model (OLED65G6WUA, sold with a flush wall mount) also lists NVIDIA G-Sync, AMD FreeSync Premium and a 0.1ms response time. In September 2026 that US version was listed on LG’s site at $2,799.99, down from $3,399.99.
The soundbar is more than a token extra
What Hi-Fi? says the G6’s built-in speakers are an improvement, with a fuller, more robust sound than earlier models. Even so, the S70TY with its separate subwoofer is a clear step up. It’s a nicely balanced package with a strong sense of space, so the testers suggest taking the free soundbar rather than making do with the TV’s speakers.
How to get the deal: add the 65-inch LG G6 wall-mount version to your basket at Smart Home Sounds, enter TRADE250, then add the LG S70TY. The soundbar’s price comes off at checkout. For anyone buying a flagship OLED and a sound system together, it’s a strong pairing: a five-star TV with an accurate, immersive picture and a four-star Atmos system at no extra cost.
