The idea is not new. Xiaomi made it popular with the 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max, whose rear panels put a secondary display on the camera plateau, and Xiaomi is preparing their successors for launch later in September 2026. Honor’s take is reportedly its own, but the influence is hard to miss.
