The wait is over for anyone in India eyeing Redmi’s latest performance-focused handset. The Redmi Turbo 5, unveiled earlier this week, has now gone on sale through Xiaomi’s Indian website, Amazon.in, and Xiaomi Retail stores nationwide.
Pricing splits across two memory configurations. The 8GB/256GB model carries a tag of INR37,999, while the 12GB/256GB version steps up to INR40,999. Both come in a trio of finishes designed to stand out: Turbo White, Nitro Blue, and Asphalt Black.
At the heart of the Turbo 5 sits the Dimensity 8500 Ultra SoC, MediaTek’s silicon tuned for sustained performance — exactly the kind of chip the Turbo line is built around. Out of the box, the phone runs Android 16-based HyperOS 3, Xiaomi’s latest software layer.
Up front, the display is a 6.59-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a sharp 1,268p resolution, so scrolling, gaming and everyday swiping should all feel suitably fluid.
On the imaging side, the Turbo 5 packs three cameras, led by a 50MP primary sensor and backed by an 8MP secondary shooter.
- Display: 6.59″ 120Hz 1,268p AMOLED
- Chipset: Dimensity 8500 Ultra
- Software: Android 16-based HyperOS 3
- Memory: 8GB/256GB or 12GB/256GB
- Cameras: 50MP main + 8MP
- Colors: Turbo White, Nitro Blue, Asphalt Black
It’s a familiar Redmi formula — chase the spec sheet hard, keep the price reasonable — and the Turbo 5 looks set to keep that reputation intact. With both memory tiers available across three retail channels from day one, Indian buyers won’t have to hunt far to grab one.
