Enzo Favara’s story isn’t finished. Hangar 13 and 2K are extending Mafia: The Old Country with a new expansion called Man of Honor, and it does two things at once: it pushes the narrative forward and quietly reshapes how you actually spend time in early-1900s Sicily.
On the story side, the DLC adds two new chapters. Enzo continues his climb alongside Ennio Salieri, a name series veterans will recognize as a fixture of the Mafia universe. It’s a natural continuation rather than a spin-off — the expansion hooks directly into the events of the base game, which you’ll need in order to play.
The more interesting part, at least for anyone who spent hours simply wandering the countryside, is what happens to Free Ride mode. This is the game’s open-ended sandbox, and Man of Honor pours exclusive new content into it. The framing here is telling: the goal is to make Free Ride feel closer to the sprawling, lived-in open worlds Rockstar Games has built its reputation on — the kind of space where the map itself becomes the entertainment, not just the connective tissue between missions.
That’s an ambitious comparison to invite, and it says something about where Hangar 13 wants The Old Country to sit. The base game leaned hard into a tight, cinematic, story-first structure. Expanding Free Ride signals a pivot toward giving players a reason to linger in Sicily long after the credits roll — more to see, more to do, more room to roleplay a rising man of honor on your own terms.
- Two new story chapters continuing Enzo’s arc with Ennio Salieri
- Exclusive Free Ride content aimed at a richer open world
- Base game required to play the expansion
Man of Honor is set for release on August 14, 2026. Pricing hasn’t been detailed yet, so we’ll be watching for 2K to fill in that blank ahead of launch. For now, the pitch is straightforward: more Enzo, more Salieri, and a version of Sicily that finally invites you to slow down and stay a while.
