Roksan Caspian 4G. A streaming pre and power duo built to last decades

Roksan has never been shy about doing things its own way, and the new Caspian 4G streaming pre-amplifier and matching power amplifier carry that stubborn streak proudly. The Essex-based brand — now part of the Monitor Audio Group — has stitched together modern streaming smarts and old-school analogue muscle into a two-box system that arrived on shelves back in January 2026.

Start with the brains of the operation. The Caspian 4G Streaming Pre-Amplifier leans on BluOS, handling hi-res files up to 24-bit/192kHz and scaling out across as many as 64 zones — enough to soundtrack an entire house without breaking a sweat. Digital conversion is where things get properly nerdy: Roksan’s Rapture DAC design uses a differential current-conveyor topology, chosen to squeeze out higher gain-bandwidth performance than a conventional voltage-based approach.

Connectivity is refreshingly complete. There’s HDMI eARC for slotting into a TV setup, Bluetooth with aptX for casual streaming, and both RCA and XLR ins and outs for the wired faithful. Vinyl lovers get a built-in phono stage that supports both moving magnet and moving coil cartridges — no separate box required.

Then comes the brawn. The Caspian 4G Power Amplifier delivers 105 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 200 watts per channel into 4 ohms in stereo. Flip it into bridged mono mode and each unit pushes 420 watts into 8 ohms or 630 watts into 4 ohms — meaning a pair of them can operate as monoblocks for anyone chasing serious grip over demanding speakers.

Underneath the numbers sits Roksan’s Class A/B Euphoria circuit, which splits duties between individual power supplies for the current and voltage amplification stages. That separation is the sort of engineering detail that rarely makes it onto a spec sheet but tends to pay off in cleaner, more effortless dynamics.

  • Streaming: BluOS, up to 24-bit/192kHz, 64 zones
  • DAC: Rapture differential current-conveyor topology
  • Phono: MM and MC support
  • Inputs/outputs: HDMI eARC, Bluetooth aptX, RCA, XLR
  • Power (stereo): 105W/ch into 8 ohms, 200W/ch into 4 ohms
  • Power (bridged mono): 420W into 8 ohms, 630W into 4 ohms

Pricing lands the pre-amplifier at US$4,500 (£3,500 | €4,000) and the power amplifier at US$3,750 (£3,000 | €3,500). Buy both and you’re looking at a genuinely versatile heart for a serious system — one that can grow from a single stereo pair into a monoblock configuration as your ambitions (and speaker cabinets) expand. It’s a forward-looking take on the pre/power formula that still respects the analogue traditions Roksan built its name on.
