Realme P4s Lite. A new budget contender edges toward its India debut

Realme’s sprawling P4 lineup is about to get another member. The Realme P4s Lite has cleared certification with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) under model number RMX5398 — the kind of paperwork every phone needs to tick off before it can go on sale in India. That milestone was spotted on August 12, 2026, and it usually signals that a formal launch isn’t far behind.

As is often the case, the certification itself is tight-lipped. Regulatory listings confirm that a device exists and can legally be sold, but they rarely spill anything juicy about what’s inside. So for now, the official spec sheet remains a blank page.

That said, earlier leaks have filled in a few gaps. According to those reports, the P4s Lite will lean firmly into affordable territory:

  • 4GB of RAM
  • 64GB or 128GB of storage, depending on the variant
  • Two color options, reportedly Moonlight Silver and Nebula Black

Take those figures with the usual pinch of salt — none of it has been rubber-stamped by Realme just yet. Still, the modest memory and storage allotment paints a clear picture of where this phone is aimed. The “Lite” suffix does most of the talking: this is a wallet-friendly variant designed to slot in beneath the pricier members of the P4 family, broadening the range’s reach into the entry-level segment.

Realme has never been shy about flooding a series with variants, and the P4 line is a textbook example. By splitting a lineup into base, Pro and Lite tiers, the brand can cover a wide spread of price points without reinventing the wheel each time. The P4s Lite looks set to occupy the most accessible rung of that ladder.

What’s still missing is arguably the most important detail — the price. Nothing official has surfaced yet, and until Realme confirms it, any figure would be guesswork. The same goes for a firm launch date; the BIS nod strongly hints that an India release is on the horizon, but no announcement has been pencilled in.

For buyers hunting a no-frills daily driver, the P4s Lite is worth keeping on the radar. It won’t be chasing benchmark records, but a phone with these specs isn’t built to. Its job is to deliver the essentials at a price that undercuts the competition — and if Realme’s past form is anything to go by, that’s exactly the pitch we should expect when the covers finally come off.
