The Millennium Falcon has always been the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy, but Disney just gave it a new trick: teleporting your theme park adventure straight into Fortnite. Launched today, August 16, 2026, at both Disneyland Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run | Fortnite is a first-of-its-kind experience that stitches the physical attraction to an all-new Star Wars adventure called Smugglers Gambit, live in Fortnite the very same day.
The pitch is simple and, frankly, a little clever. You climb aboard the Falcon at the park, take your turn as pilot, gunner or engineer, and then keep the story going once you’re back on the couch. Smugglers Gambit reframes the ride’s smuggling premise as a PvE co-op online game, so the crew you scrambled to assemble in the cockpit can regroup online.
Once inside the Fortnite version, you’ll explore Mersa Veta Station and take on quests scattered across Ord Ryla. There’s a proper progression loop here too: level up, team up, and grind through co-op missions against pirates, Imperial remnants and some genuinely dangerous local wildlife. It plays less like a promotional minigame and more like a full-fat cooperative campaign wearing a Disney lanyard.
The connective tissue runs both directions. Scan a QR code, link your Epic Games and MyDisney accounts, and the game reaches back into the real world to unlock a special experience on the attraction at the parks. Disney is staying coy about exactly what that entails, which is either canny marketing or a dare, depending on your patience. Anyone who stumbled onto the secret “Grogu mode” after Smugglers Run got its re-theme from the sequel trilogy toward The Mandalorian era knows the ride has form for hiding surprises.
What you get for your trouble is tangible. Playing through nets you the exclusive Forsworn Trooper outfit plus credits to spend in the game — a decent haul for something bundled in at no extra charge.
Here’s the best part for the wallet: the whole crossover is included at no additional cost with valid theme park admission. No premium battle pass gate, no separate ticket. If you’re already paying to walk through the gates, the Fortnite half comes free.

Cross-platform stunts like this usually feel like a marketing checkbox. This one, at least, gives you something to actually play — and a reason to link two accounts you probably didn’t realise could talk to each other.
