Huawei Watch GT 7 Pro. New colorways head to Munich on September 2
SHARE

Mark your calendars: Huawei has locked in September 2 for its next global launch event in Munich, Germany. The keynote rolls out under the punchy “Chase the wild” tagline, and all signs point to wearables stealing the spotlight.

Here’s the twist. The Huawei Watch GT 7 Pro already landed on August 5, 2026, so the Munich stage isn’t about a brand-new smartwatch reveal. Instead, the teaser imagery leans into vivid yellow and lime-green tones — a strong hint that Huawei is prepping fresh colorways for the GT 7 Pro. Expect names like Jingye Yellow, Pine Frost Green, and Carbon Crystal Black to make their debut.

For anyone still catching up, the GT 7 Pro is a serious piece of wrist hardware. It pairs a titanium case with sapphire glass, packs an ECG sensor, and shrugs off water down to 40 meters — enough to tag along on a freediving session. Battery life is the real headline, stretching up to 21 days on a charge, which puts most rivals to shame.

On pricing, the GT 7 Pro launched in China at ¥2,688, roughly US$399. Pre-orders opened on launch day, with open retail availability in China beginning August 28. International pricing and release timing haven’t been confirmed, so the Munich event may finally give global buyers the details they’ve been waiting for.

What else might show up? Huawei has a long-standing habit of pairing new wireless earbuds with its smartwatch reveals, so there’s a decent chance the September 2 keynote won’t be a watch-only affair. That said, Huawei hasn’t officially confirmed the full product slate, so the earbuds angle remains an educated guess rather than a promise.

The bigger picture here is Huawei doubling down on its wearables ecosystem for Western markets. Choosing Munich — and framing everything around an outdoor, adventure-ready tagline — signals that the company wants the GT 7 Pro’s rugged credentials front and center. New colorways are an easy way to keep an already-launched flagship in the conversation without waiting for a full hardware refresh.

We’ll be watching to see whether the “Chase the wild” theme translates into more than just paint jobs. For now, the September 2 event shapes up as a chance for Huawei to finally bring its Pro-tier wearable — and its bolder color options — to a global audience.
