Mivi built its name in India on true wireless earbuds, soundbars and speakers — and now it is attempting a far bigger leap. The company’s first smartphone, the Mivi One 5G, launches in India on September 26, 2026, and will be sold online exclusively through Flipkart.
Mivi is not the first Indian electronics brand to make this move. Last month, Fire-Boltt entered the smartphone market with the Boltt Ace 5G and Boltt Evo 4G. Mivi is following the same route, but with a noticeably louder pitch.
That pitch kicked off on September 2, when Mivi posted teasers on its official X account under the slogan “One name, zero compromises!”. The images point to a flat back panel, with green as one of the color options, plus rounded corners. Flipkart, for its part, has revealed that the device will run clean software, and the company promises stock Android with no bloatware. Mivi also says the phone’s PCBA — the printed circuit board assembly — was designed in-house.
The first hard numbers arrived from an unexpected direction: a Geekbench listing for a device with the model number Mivi MVNOE. It confirms the core hardware:
- Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 (SM4450) — eight cores, six running at 1.96GHz and two at 2.21GHz
- RAM: 6GB
- Software: Android 16
- Benchmark scores: 677 single-core and 1,490 multi-core
The Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 is a familiar budget-class chip, which tells you roughly where the One 5G will sit in the market even before Mivi says a word about positioning. And so far the company is saying very little: beyond the design teasers and the benchmark data, neither Mivi nor Flipkart has divulged anything else about the phone. Display, cameras, battery and — crucially — the price all remain officially unannounced, and Mivi’s own website still lists only audio gear, with no trace of a smartphone.
That leaves the One 5G as a bet on branding as much as hardware. Mivi is a household name in India’s affordable audio segment, and “zero compromises” is a bold promise to carry into one of the world’s most brutally competitive phone markets. On September 26, when the device arrives on Flipkart, we will find out whether a well-known logo and clean Android are enough to stand out.
