Limited editions are supposed to sell out — but rarely this fast. Realme unveiled the realme 16 Pro 5G Harry Potter Edition and the realme Buds T500 Pro Harry Potter Edition on September 21, 2026, and both products were gone from the company’s online store in India within 24 hours of the launch. Anyone still hunting for one now has to try offline brick-and-mortar stores and hope a unit is left on the shelf.
The phone’s headline trick is a back cover Realme describes as the world’s first quadra light sensing colour-changing tech: the Hogwarts four-house crest on the 3D diamond-pattern leather back reacts to UV light, waking up all four house colours at once. The camera module is an aluminium piece shaped after Hedwig, and the rear panel carries a laser-engraved “Welcome To Hogwarts” line. Inside Realme UI, the theming continues with Hogwarts Castle wallpapers, custom boot and fingerprint animations and more than 30 redesigned native app icons. The retail package is a gifting box built around a personalised Hogwarts acceptance kit.
Under the wizarding trim, the hardware is straightforward flagship-adjacent Realme:

Realme’s own product page also quotes an AnTuTu score of 971,755, which is the kind of number that belongs in a marketing deck rather than a lab report, but it is at least the company’s stated figure.
The earbuds launched alongside it are no less themed. The realme Buds T500 Pro Harry Potter Edition went on sale on September 22, 2026 at 12:00 PM IST through Realme’s website and partner retail channels, in a Magic Brown colourway: dark brown housings, brushed gold stems with etched Hogwarts crests, and a faux-leather charging case with a gold crest and a laser-engraved “Welcome to Hogwarts” inscription on the hinge. Buyers also get a leatherette protective case modelled on a vintage Hogwarts student travel trunk, complete with brass-finish rivets, straps and a woven lanyard.
Spec-wise, the buds run 12.4mm dynamic drivers, support Hi-Res Wireless Audio over LHDC 5.0 at up to 24-bit/96kHz, and offer up to 50dB of hybrid active noise cancellation across a 5,000Hz range. Realme claims up to 56 hours of total playback with ANC off using the 530mAh case, and the set carries Bluetooth 6.1, IP55 protection and six-microphone call noise reduction.
Realme is keeping the theme running past the sell-out: the company has a realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition bus tour scheduled across India from September 21 to October 23, 2026 — a chance to see the colour-changing crest in person, even if the checkout button is no longer an option.
