DJI Osmo 360 II. The 360-degree sequel shows its hand with real footage

DJI has stopped talking in riddles. After a first cryptic tease, the company dropped a second trailer for the Osmo 360 II — and this time it’s the footage doing the talking. The clip is shot entirely on the new 360-degree camera, which is exactly the kind of proof point you want before an immersive-video device asks for your money.

What the teaser hints at, the spec sheet starts to confirm. The Osmo 360 II leans on a 2,150 mAh battery paired with 27W USB-C fast charging, a combination aimed at the classic 360-cam pain point: running dry mid-adventure and then waiting forever to top up. It’s a sensible pairing rather than a headline-chaser, and for a camera you strap to a helmet or a selfie stick, that endurance-plus-quick-refuel balance matters more than a big round number.

The more intriguing addition is user-replaceable lenses. Dual-lens 360 cameras live and die by their exposed glass — one gravel-strewn tumble and a scratched lens can effectively total the whole device. Letting owners swap the optics themselves is a genuinely practical touch that could extend the camera’s lifespan and cut repair headaches. It’s the sort of feature that reads as boring on paper and feels heroic the day you actually scuff a lens.

DJI is also promising two things it loves to iterate on: improved stabilization and color science advancements. Those are the pillars that made the original Osmo line a favorite among action shooters and vloggers, so tightening both here is the obvious path. Smoother reframing and more natural color straight out of the camera would take some of the editing grunt-work off users who just want to reframe a 360 capture into a clean flat video.

Here’s where things stand on the calendar. Pre-orders opened in China on August 7, 2026, and the official global reveal is scheduled for August 13, 2026 at 20:00 local time (12:00 UTC). So while Chinese buyers can already put their names down, the worldwide picture — including full availability — is still coming into focus.

A few things DJI hasn’t confirmed yet, and we’re not going to pretend otherwise: there’s no official price on the table, and the finer sensor and resolution details remain under wraps until launch. Given how the current Osmo 360 was positioned, the II looks set to slot into the same immersive-capture niche where DJI has been quietly building momentum against the usual 360-camera rivals.

For now, the second teaser does its job. It shows the camera can shoot, teases enough hardware to spark interest, and sets a firm date. The rest — pricing, full specs, and how those color and stabilization upgrades hold up in the wild — lands on August 13.
