Huawei has slotted two familiar tablets into the Indian market, and while neither is a fresh face on the global stage, both bring an 11-inch-class display and Huawei’s eye-friendly screen tech at wallet-conscious prices. They went on sale on August 7, 2026, and are now available through Flipkart.
The headline act is the Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2025), built around an 11.5-inch PaperMatte LCD. This is where things get interesting: the matte treatment slashes ambient light reflections by 60% and knocks out light interference almost entirely, cutting it by 99%. That translates to a screen that’s kinder to the eyes during long reading or sketching sessions, without the glare that plagues glossy panels.
Under that anti-reflective coating sits a sharp 2,456 x 1,600px panel in a 3:2 aspect ratio, running at a smooth 120Hz and topping out at 600 nits of brightness. The tablet is powered by Huawei’s Kirin T82B chip paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and it keeps the lights on with a hefty 10,100mAh battery backed by 40W charging.
Better still, Huawei bundles in the accessories most tablets make you pay extra for. The MatePad 11.5 (2025) ships with a 3rd gen Huawei M-Pencil stylus and a detachable keyboard cover, turning it into a lightweight productivity or note-taking machine right out of the box. All of that comes in at ₹44,000 (roughly US$528) for the 8GB/256GB configuration.
If your budget is tighter, the Huawei MatePad SE 11 covers the entry-level end. It swaps the PaperMatte panel for a more conventional 11-inch IPS LCD at 1,920 x 1,200px in a 16:10 aspect ratio — a familiar setup for video and casual browsing.
The SE leans on the older Kirin 710A running at 2.2GHz, again with 8GB of RAM, this time alongside 128GB of storage. It’s a genuinely slim slate at just 6.9mm thick, and its 7,700mAh battery pairs with 22.5W charging. The catch, or the appeal, depending on how you look at it, is the price: ₹20,000 (around US$240) for the 8GB/128GB variant.
Neither tablet is chasing flagship glory, and that’s rather the point. Huawei is betting that a big, comfortable display, a decent chunk of RAM and — in the case of the 11.5 — a reflection-busting PaperMatte screen with free accessories will be enough to win over buyers who don’t want to spend flagship money.
