vivo’s T5 family is now six strong. On September 2, the company unveiled the vivo T5 5G, delivering on a promise it made when the T5 4G arrived back in May. vivo says the phone is “designed for ambitious young hustlers who seek powerful performance, premium design and long-lasting endurance” — marketing speak, sure, but the spec sheet does most of the talking on its own.
Up front sits a 6.83″ 3D curved AMOLED panel with a 2,800×1,260-pixel resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate and a claimed 3,000 nits of peak brightness. A punch-hole cutout houses the 32MP selfie camera, a fingerprint scanner hides beneath the display, and wet touch support means the screen keeps responding even with damp hands.
Inside, the T5 5G runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 7500 Turbo chipset, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, all kept cool by a 3,800 mm² vapor chamber. The phone boots Android 16-based OriginOS 6, and vivo has committed to three Android OS upgrades and five years of security updates.
Around the back, a “Skyline Camera Module” holds a circular flash and two shooters: a 50MP primary built around the Sony IMX882 sensor with OIS, and an 8MP ultrawide. Both the primary and the selfie camera can record 4K video at 30FPS.
The endurance pitch rests on a 7,050 mAh battery with 44W charging support. Durability credentials are unusually thorough for the class, too:
- IP68 and IP69 ratings against dust and water
- MIL-STD-810H certification
- Dual stereo speakers round out the package
The vivo T5 5G comes in Royal Bronze and Silver Green and in four memory configurations — 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB. Sales in India begin September 9 through vivo’s Indian website, Flipkart and partner retail stores.
If the design and specs feel familiar, there’s a reason: the T5 5G is essentially a rebadged version of the iQOO Z11, which went on sale in India in late August. vivo’s playbook of cross-pollinating its sub-brands continues — same hardware, different storefront, and in this case a slightly different audience pitch.
