Lyngdorf TDAI-2210. The streaming amp that never leaves the digital domain
SHARE

Lyngdorf does things differently, and the TDAI-2210 is the proof. In a market crowded with do-everything streaming amplifiers, the Danish brand’s newest one-box machine refuses to convert your music to analogue until the very last moment. TDAI stands for Total Digital Amplification, Integrated, and it means exactly that: this is not a conventional Class D design but a fully digital amplifier that keeps the signal digital from the digital inputs right through to the filtered speaker outputs. Even analogue sources are converted to digital before the amp goes to work. What Hi-Fi? traces the technology back to the TacT Millennium, the first digital amplifier the magazine reviewed a quarter of a century ago.

The TDAI-2210 sits between the existing TDAI-1110 and TDAI-3310, but it is no hand-me-down middle child. Lyngdorf redesigned it from the ground up with a new PCB layout, a cleaner signal path and better power supply filtering, and calls it the most advanced product in the range. Output is rated at 105 watts per channel into 8 ohms, doubling to 210 watts as impedance halves to 4 ohms.

The spec sheet is generous for something this compact:

  • Streaming — UPnP/DLNA, AirPlay 2, Google Chromecast, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, airable internet radio, Bluetooth, Roon Ready
  • Inputs — RCA line level, coaxial x 3, optical x 2, HDMI eARC (2.1), USB-C, USB-A
  • Outputs — RCA line level, balanced XLR, coaxial, plus a 3.5mm headphone output
  • Max file resolution — 24-bit/192kHz PCM, or 32-bit/384kHz via USB only; there is no DSD support
  • Network — Wi-fi and ethernet
  • Dimensions (hwd) — 10.2 x 32.5 x 30cm, weight 4.8kg, in a single matte black finish

Where the TDAI-2210 really separates itself is in how it feels to use. A large full-colour glass touchscreen shows album artwork and shifts its background colour to match, with a spectrum analyser view available — and, refreshingly, no retro VU meters. The volume control is unusual too: rather than attenuating the incoming signal, it changes the gain at the output stage, sidestepping the distortion and channel-balance quirks of potentiometers. The redesigned My Lyngdorf app adds Voicing EQ presets, tone adjustment and Intersample Clipping Correction, and a traditional remote is in the box. Lyngdorf’s RoomPerfect calibration, complete with microphone and stand, comes as standard.

Two optional modules extend the connections: a high-end analog module with a moving-magnet phono stage and three extra analogue inputs, which What Hi-Fi? says adds over $500 to the standard price, and an HDMI 2.1 module adding two more HDMI inputs and an output, taking the price to $5499 / £4399. The base configuration is listed at US$4499, £3499 or €3999 by SoundStage! Hi-Fi.

Two features are not finished yet: AirPlay 2 and NAS library browsing inside the app both arrive with a software update due in late September 2026. In its review published September 4, 2026, What Hi-Fi? scored the amp 4 for sound and 5 for both features and build, praising a lively, clear and open presentation while noting the cheaper Arcam SA35 ($3300 / £2999) sounds better outright.
