Robotics is not short of money. According to The Robot Report, the industry raised $4.87 billion in disclosed funding and other capital in August 2026, spread across 162 financial transactions. Those are big numbers. They don’t show which ideas are drawing the cash, which categories are heating up, or what a young robotics company has to do to get funded. F-Prime Capital plans to answer some of those questions in public at RoboBusiness 2026.
The conference runs on October 20 and 21, 2026 in Santa Clara, California. There, Sanjay Aggarwal, partner at F-Prime Capital, and Betsy Mulé, principal at F-Prime, will present the firm’s annual State of Robotics Investments report. The Robot Report announced the session on September 18, 2026.
According to the announcement, the report covers:
- the latest funding trends in robotics;
- emerging technology categories;
- the sectors drawing the most investor interest;
- practical lessons on what it takes to build and finance a successful robotics company in the current market.
That last point may matter most to the founders in the room. Headline funding totals are easy to find. A breakdown from an active investor of where the next check is likely to land is much harder to come by.
Who is on stage
Aggarwal is a venture partner who focuses on frontier technology and enterprise software. Before F-Prime, he was CEO of Unicel Technologies, an India-focused mobile messaging company. He grew it into a leader in the Indian market and sold it to Karix Mobile. Earlier in his career he worked at Devonshire Investors, the private equity group of Fidelity Investments, and in McKinsey and Co.’s U.S. and India offices. He also has hands-on automation experience: at Berkeley Process Control, which Moog Inc. later acquired, he built machine automation systems. He holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from MIT, an M.S. in mechanical engineering from UC Berkeley and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Mulé works on early-stage investments in enterprise technology and robotics. Before F-Prime she was a strategy consultant at Mars & Co., advising Fortune 500 companies in the U.S., Latin America and Europe. She is an MIT graduate who majored in chemical-biological engineering.
