vivo Watch 6. Titanium, sapphire and three weeks between charges

vivo used its big X500 launch in China on September 21, 2026 to show more than phones. Next to the X500, X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max, the company unveiled the vivo Watch 6. It’s a round smartwatch that goes for premium materials over flashy gimmicks, and it comes in two versions: a titanium case and a stainless steel case.

Both versions share a 45mm case. On top is a 1.47-inch AMOLED display with a 466×466 resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. The bezel is 1.49mm, which is very thin for a round watch. vivo rates peak brightness at 3,500-nit, so the screen should be easy to read in direct sun. A sapphire crystal covers the display on both models, not just on the more expensive one.

Sensors and connectivity

The sensor list covers everything you’d expect from a serious wrist computer:

  • optical heart rate and blood oxygen sensor
  • accelerometer and gyroscope
  • geomagnetic sensor and barometer
  • ambient light sensor
  • Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC
  • dual-frequency GPS
  • microphone and speaker

Dual-frequency GPS is the notable item here. It usually gives more accurate tracks in cities and under trees, which runners and hikers will like. The microphone and speaker let you take calls and use voice features from the wrist.

Software and battery

The Watch 6 runs vivo’s own BlueOS 4.0, not Wear OS, which fits the company’s push to build its own software. Power comes from a 505mAh battery. vivo claims up to 21 days with light use, 6 days with the Always-On Display and 4 days with eSIM connectivity. That’s a practical spread: even with cellular turned on, you get a long weekend and then some before you need the charger.

Versions and pricing

The stainless steel model comes as a Bluetooth-only version or with eSIM. The titanium model is sold only with eSIM, so the premium metal and standalone connectivity come as a package. The stainless steel version comes in two finishes called Wilderness and Moonlight. Chinese pricing, converted to US dollars, is:

  • stainless steel, without mobile data: $149
  • stainless steel, with eSIM: $208
  • titanium, with eSIM: $298

For titanium, sapphire and a 3,500-nit AMOLED panel, those prices undercut much of the premium smartwatch market. The catch is availability. As of September 2026, the vivo Watch 6 is a China-only launch, and it’s unclear whether it will ever be sold officially outside China. BlueOS also points the watch at vivo’s own phone ecosystem, so buyers elsewhere would likely have to import it and accept compromises.

Still, the Watch 6 is a good sign of where mid-priced wearables are going. Materials that used to be reserved for flagship watches are now arriving at much lower prices, and battery life is measured in weeks, not days.
