The vivo X300 lineup keeps growing, and the latest leak points to a sixth member: the vivo X300e. First spotted back in February via a leaked IMEI entry in the GSMA database, the phone has now had most of its hardware laid bare by Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station.
What stands out immediately is the form factor. Rather than chase ever-larger screens, the X300e reportedly sticks to a 6.59-inch OLED panel with a flat design — the kind of size that fits comfortably in one hand and one pocket. It’s a refreshing counterpoint to the slab-sized flagships that dominate the shelves.
Under the glass, the leak lists a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, the same silicon said to power the vivo X300 FE. That means the X300e should trade blows with far pricier handsets when it comes to raw compute, gaming headroom and on-device AI chores.
The camera setup is where vivo appears to be swinging hard for a device this size. According to the leak, the rear array covers the full focal range:
- 50MP main camera
- 50MP periscope telephoto for reach without the crop-and-pray routine
- 8MP ultrawide to grab the wide stuff
Around the front sits a 50MP selfie camera, and — this is the part imaging nerds will care about — Zeiss tuning and lenses are said to feature across all the cameras. That’s the sort of optical pedigree usually reserved for vivo’s headline models, not its more compact spin-offs.
Then there’s the battery, which is arguably the headline act. The X300e is tipped to pack a 7,100 mAh cell paired with 90W fast charging. Stuffing that much capacity behind a 6.59-inch screen is genuinely impressive engineering — most phones this size settle for a fraction of that number. If the leak holds up, endurance should be a non-issue, and the 90W wired top-up means you won’t be tethered to the wall for long.
Add it up and the picture is a small-footprint device that refuses to compromise: flagship-grade processing, a versatile Zeiss-tuned camera system with real telephoto hardware, and a battery that dwarfs what rivals in this size class typically offer.
A few important caveats, though. Everything here comes from leaks rather than vivo itself. The company has not officially announced the X300e, no launch timeframe has been shared by the tipster, and there is no confirmed price. Specs can shift between the rumor stage and the retail box, so treat the details as promising rather than final until vivo makes it official.
