LG has put UK prices on its 2026 xboom range, the Bluetooth line-up that was first unveiled at CES 2026. Four models are on sale as of September 2026, and the spread is deliberately extreme: from a speaker that costs less than a couple of pizzas to a five-sided cabinet that wants to own your living room.
The strategy is breadth. LG is aiming squarely at JBL, Bose and Sony with an expansive selection of Bluetooth speakers spanning compact outdoor portables through to room-filling “party speakers”, promising “a tailored solution for every venue and setting”. The unifying thread is the tuning: LG says every speaker in the series has been voiced by former Black Eyed Peas member will.i.am.
Here is how the UK line-up breaks down:
- LG xboom Mini — a compact, ultra-portable speaker with an IP67 water and dust resistance rating. Available now for £40 / $70.
- LG xboom Rock — an ultra durable, pocket-sized speaker encased in a shock-resistant, IP67 water-and-dust-proof chassis. Available now for £60 / $80.
- LG xboom Blast — a plus-sized speaker LG calls “built for long adventures”, with 35 hours of playback, 220 watts of power, four drive units and three passive radiators for what the company promises is an “expansive soundscape” in any environment. Available now for £450 / $500.
- LG xboom Stage 501 — the “party ready” option, offering up to 25 hours of playback and 220 watts of power for “a bold, room-filling sound” from a five-sided cabinet. Available now for £500 / $500.
The Stage 501 is the one worth dwelling on, because LG’s own UK product page (where it is listed as the xboom Stage501 by will.i.am) fills in the detail the price tag implies. That 220W rating applies in AC mode and drops to 160W on battery, driving a 2.2ch array of two 5.25-inch woofers and dual 2.5-inch full-range units. The battery is a replaceable 99Wh pack, the chassis is rated IPX4, and connectivity runs to Bluetooth 6.1, USB-C, a 3.5mm aux input and dual 6.3mm mic inputs — the last of those feeding an AI Karaoke Master mode with a vocal remover and a key changer. Auracast multi-speaker linking is on board, as is automatic EQ adjustment and four mounting modes: horizontal, tilt, vertical and pole.
What that adds up to is a range that refuses to pick a lane. A £40 IP67 pebble and a £500 karaoke rig are not competing for the same buyer, and LG clearly knows it — the xboom badge is being stretched to cover a rucksack pocket, a campsite and a back garden with equal enthusiasm.
There is more coming. LG says the range-topping LG xboom Power 5000 and LG xboom Power 9000 are set to become available at the start of October 2026, with pricing to be confirmed ahead of release.
