Huawei finished the job it started in August. The Pura X View was semi-announced with only part of its spec sheet on the table; on September 7, 2026 the company laid out the rest, including storage tiers, pricing and a sale date. The pitch is unchanged and still unusual: the wide canvas of an unfolded book-style foldable, in a phone with no hinge in it at all.
The screen is the reason the phone exists. It is a 6.39-inch OLED panel running at 1320×2232 with a 16:9.5 aspect ratio, which is why the body comes out squat and wide rather than tall. Refresh rate is 120Hz, peak brightness is quoted at 6,500 nits at 1% APL, and the panel uses 2,160Hz PWM dimming with Kunlun Glass on top. Huawei has kept the bezels to 1.05mm and made them symmetrical on all four sides, which matters more here than usual — an asymmetric chin on a screen this wide would be impossible to ignore.
The camera island is not a token effort either. The main sensor is a 200MP unit with an f/1.8 aperture and OIS, joined by an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide with autofocus and a 50MP f/2.6 periscope telephoto with OIS and an 88mm-equivalent focal length. Selfies come from a 50MP f/2.4 camera.

Fitting 7,000 mAh into a 6.7 mm chassis is the quiet achievement here — that is a bigger cell than most flagships carry in bodies that are noticeably thicker. Elsewhere there is BeiDou satellite messaging, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a choice of black, white, gray or red. The retail model designation is VOL-AL00.
Pricing runs in three steps. It starts at CNY 5,999 ($893) for the 256GB version, goes up to CNY 6,999 ($1,042) with 512GB of storage, and tops out at CNY 8,499 ($1,266) with 1TB. The phone is on pre-order and is released on September 9, 2026 at 10:08 AM local time in China. There is no information on whether it will be sold in other markets, which is the familiar caveat on any Kirin-powered Huawei flagship — the hardware is interesting well beyond China, and for now China is where it stays.
