The Honor Magic9 family has grown from two phones to three. After teasing the design of the Magic9 Pro Max, Honor confirmed on September 14, 2026 that a Magic9 Super Edition joins the lineup, and it showed the design, color options and RAM/storage configurations of all three models. The official unveiling is set for September 28, 2026 in Beijing.
Here is how the lineup breaks down, based on Honor’s reveal as reported by GSMArena:
- Honor Magic9 Pro Max: Black, Silver and Olive Green; up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage.
- Honor Magic9: Black, Silver, Olive Green and Popcorn Yellow; up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
- Honor Magic9 Super Edition: the same four colors as the standard Magic9; up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
According to Gizmochina’s rundown of the configurations, the Magic9 and the Magic9 Pro Max come in 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB and 16GB+1TB versions, while the Super Edition tops out at 16GB+512GB above its 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB options.
Same shape, different badges. The standard Magic9 borrows the rear camera layout of the Pro Max, though its camera circles appear slightly smaller. It keeps the ARRI camera collaboration. The Super Edition looks almost identical to the standard model, with one telling difference: there is no ARRI branding on its camera system. That hints at a phone positioned around something other than imaging.
That something is probably the battery. Honor has confirmed that the Magic9 series will feature an 11,000mAh battery, but it has not said which model gets it. The media headlines point at the Super Edition, and earlier leaks described exactly such a phone. Until Honor puts the number on a specific spec sheet, though, it remains a series-level promise.
The camera flagship. The Pro Max remains the showpiece of the range. Honor’s earlier teaser showed a large rectangular rear module with three cutouts, a dual 200MP rear camera setup with f/1.57 and f/2.6 apertures, and support for 500mm and 200mm teleconverter kits. On its launch page, Honor also promotes a 55-megapixel front camera behind a square cutout, an Alexa LogC3 video pipeline and a cinema-grade shotgun microphone, which the company calls an industry first for the Magic9 Pro Max.
Pre-orders are already open in China. Honor’s store notice lists a deposit window running from September 14, 2026, 10:30 until sales begin on September 28, 2026, with final payments accepted until October 7, 2026. Honor has not published prices, and nothing so far covers availability outside China.
