The wizarding tie-in has stopped being a mood board. Realme has put up a promo page for the Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition on its Indian site, and it spells out what is actually inside the special edition rather than just waving a wand at it.
The confirmed hardware:
- Chipset: Dimensity 7300 Max SoC
- Display: 144Hz AMOLED with 6,500 nits peak brightness
- Battery: 7,000 mAh
- Charging: 80W wired, plus bypass charging and reverse wired charging
If that reads familiar, it should. Those are the same specs as the standard Realme 16 Pro, which also brings a 200MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide and a 50MP front camera. Realme is not building a separate phone here. It is dressing an existing one, and the differences between the two are expected to be cosmetic.
That is not a criticism so much as a description of how licensed editions usually work. The interesting part sits on the outside. The project is a licensed collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, and Realme says the edition folds visual elements and themes from the franchise into both the hardware and the software interface, with custom industrial design details and a co-branded logo developed jointly by the two companies. Realme has also shown a Limited Edition Gifting Box, so the retail package is doing part of the work too.
Realme teased the phone on September 8, 2026 and confirmed India as one of the launch markets. The teaser leaned on vintage brown suitcases and a Platform 9¾ nod, with a Let The Magic Begin tagline on Flipkart. A launch date has not been announced. One of the images Realme shared shows September 21 on the phone’s lock screen, which is the closest thing to a schedule anyone has at this point, and it is a lock-screen graphic rather than a stated date.
Pricing has not been announced either, and neither have the colour options or the exact contents of that gifting box. The promo page is still a coming-soon placeholder, with a subscribe button where the buy button will eventually go.
What Realme has effectively confirmed is the shape of the deal. Buyers get the full Realme 16 Pro spec sheet, a 7,000 mAh battery and a very bright 144Hz panel among it, wrapped in Hogwarts-branded industrial design and a themed interface. Whether the special edition carries a premium over the standard model is the one number that still matters, and it is the one Realme has kept back.
