Honor has put a date on the model that tops off its current wearable line. The Watch 6 Pro arrives on September 28, joining a series that already holds the Watch 6, the Watch 6 Plus and the Watch 6 Plus Motorcycle Edition. The teaser went up on Weibo, and unusually for a teaser it showed the actual hardware rather than a silhouette.
Two treatments appear in the images. One leans sporty, the other formal, and both keep a round case with a pair of physical buttons stacked on the right side for quick actions. Honor lists five finishes for the Chinese market: ceramic black, ceramic brown, ceramic silver, steel black and steel yellow, with strap options running from fluororubber to leather to matching metal links.
The screen is where the Pro suffix starts earning its keep. Honor describes it as a colour-rich OLED panel with local peak brightness of 5500 nits, which is the kind of figure you need when a watch face is competing with direct sunlight rather than an office ceiling light.
Health is the headline, though. The teaser confirmed that the Watch 6 Pro carries cardiac arrest monitoring and blood pressure monitoring, and Honor is calling the cardiac arrest feature a first for its watches. The idea is not merely to log an event but to act on it: the watch can raise an emergency call on the wearer’s behalf when it detects one. Around that sit a handful of other claims from the pre-launch material:
- Cardiac arrest monitoring with proactive emergency SOS
- Contactless blood pressure 2.0, Honor’s cuff-free approach to BP readings
- A CGM glucose management assistant for continuous blood sugar tracking
- A new optical sensing stack Honor markets as the Lingtong perception system
That last item matters more than the marketing name suggests. Cuff-free blood pressure and cardiac arrest detection both live or die on sensor quality, and Honor is clearly staking the Pro’s identity on the sensor array rather than on chipset bragging rights. For reference, the previous Watch 5 Pro handled ECG, arrhythmia detection and sleep apnoea screening, so the new model is building on an already medical-leaning base.
Pre-orders opened across Honor’s Chinese channels on September 7, 2026, including Honor Mall, Tmall and JD.com. Pricing has not been disclosed, and neither has battery life, which is a conspicuous gap given that the standard Watch 6 built much of its reputation on endurance. Wider availability outside China has not been announced either.
The timing is not accidental. September 28 is also the day Honor debuts the Magic9 series in China, so the Watch 6 Pro lands as the wrist-worn half of a single, busy launch window. Expect the remaining specifications to trickle out in the run-up.
